Molina, Trade Specialist
Director
Felipe Corrales, joined the State of Colorado, as the
Director for the Mexico Office in June 2000.
His international expertise in Economic Development and International
Trade is reflected in both his professional experience and educational
background. (1989-1990) He initiated his international career as an active
intern working in Germany, Switzerland and France as part of the staff of the
Internationale Begegung in Gemeinshaftdienstein headquartered in Germany. (1990-1991) He then return to Mexico City,
where he worked in the private industry at a Bank named Banca Cremi, developing
in several financial branches of the Bank.
(1991-1992) He decided to join the Mexican Exporting Bank (Bancomext) as
an intern for the Financial Directorate and then for the Export Promotion
Directorate. (1993-1996) Mr. Corrales
was called by the U.S. Embassy in Mexico to work for the U.S. Department of
State at the Regional Administrative Management Center for Latin America and
the Caribbean (RAMC) as a Financial Assistant.
(1996-2000) The professionalism that Mr. Corrales reflected in the RAMC,
caused that he was called by the Ohio
Department of Development Mexico Office, for the opening of the Ohio Mexico
Office in Mexico City, being the former Associate Managing Director for the
Mexico Office.
Since June 2000, Mr.
Corrales is head of the State of Colorado Mexico Office in charged of all the
strategic planning and operations to promote Colorado industries, products and
services in Mexico and advised all Mexican investors about the great
opportunities that Colorado offers in this matter.
(1998) He was also a
part time Professor of International Trade at the Universidad Hispano Mexicano
in Mexico City.
(1990-1994) Mr.
Corrales has a Bachelor Degree in International Relations graduated with a
“Honor Award” for outstanding academic performance from the Universidad Hispano
Mexicana in Mexico City, he is a Candidate for two Master degrees; he is to
receive his degrees for his Master in International Economy from the
Universidad de las Americas, A.C. in Mexico City and his Master in
International Management from the Universidad Anahuac del Sur in Mexico
City. (1999) Due to Mr. Corrales
professionalism and interest for the International Arena, he made postgraduate
courses in Europe, such as International Management and International Finances,
among others in the University of Bremen, Germany. (1995) He has a Postgraduate Course (Diplomado) in International
Trade from the Univeridad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico in Mexico City and
several other Postgraduate Courses taken in (1997) Quality Systems, (1997)
Strategic Marketing and (1998) Management, taken in the Universidad de las
Americas A.C. in Mexico City.
Office Manager
Paola Mercado concluded her studies In International
Relations in the Iberoamericana University in Mexico City in 1997. She made an
internship in the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs and collaborated in the
works of the 51º United Nations General Assembly held in New York in 1996.
During the year of 1997, she worked in the Mexican Secretary of Taxation and
Credit (equivalent to US Treasury Department), in the Revenue Area and in 1999
concluded her Masters degree in International Management making part of her
studies in Germany. Actually she is in charged of the Colorado Trade Office’s
Administration and Trade Projects.
Trade Specialist
Daniel Molina concluded his
bachelor degree in International Commerce in December, 2000 from the
Technologic Institute of Superior Studies of Monterrey (ITESM), Campus Guadalajara.
In ITESM high-school, participated in the Harvard Model of the United Nations,
in Boston. Among his career activities and internship participated in the
organization of two “South American Trade Missions” promoted by the ITESM and
the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and developed various export projects. Daniel
joined the Colorado Mexico Trade Office team in August, 2000 and gained
expertise in the fields of Telecommunications, Electronic, Computers,
Industrial and Agricultural Sectors.
